Functional capacity. Measured weekly.

Dynergia develops the Functional Capacity Index (FCI): an objective weekly measurement of functional capacity during psychiatric sick leave — decision support for the care management of Swiss daily-allowance insurers.

The Dynergia Method is care-management decision support anchored in the treating physician's authority. It informs reintegration decisions with objective longitudinal functional data; it does not adjudicate work capacity and does not prescribe treatment.

Three measurement channels, one number per week

Between medical certificates, continuous functional data barely exists today. The FCI closes this gap with three simple channels:

Each week, this produces a single figure with a trajectory arrow — compared exclusively against the insured person's own baseline, never against other people's norms.

1

Attentional capacity

A weekly 10-minute vigilance test within a session of about 13–15 minutes (a PVT variant), deliberately kept short and easy on the eyes. In the browser, no app required.

2

Day structure & recovery

sleep timing and recovery, briefly reported each morning; optionally, you can upload your watch data once a week.

3

Intention and follow-through

two brief self-assessments per day, under one minute each.

When Dynergia begins

Before reintegration — voluntary and passive

Stabilisation

Only the watch on the wrist records rest-activity patterns. No tests, no questions, no tasks. It can be paused at any time.

Decision to begin reintegration, or discharge from inpatient care
From reintegration onward — active

Reintegration

A weekly attention test (about 15 minutes), two brief daily questions, a weekly personal report — always compared only with the person’s own baseline.

Measurement begins when rebuilding begins. Before that, Dynergia quietly accompanies the rhythm, for as long as the insured person wants it to.

Three perspectives, one ground rule

Treating physician

Sees the trajectory between consultations and retains full decision-making authority. The report goes to the insured person first; they decide who else receives it.

Care management

Receives a documented functional trajectory instead of a snapshot — a basis for having the right conversation at the right time.

Insured person

Is compared only with their own baseline and can see progress becoming visible — instead of having to assert it.

Where we stand

Dynergia is in its feasibility phase. We communicate our stage of development transparently and make no efficacy promises. More under Science & Transparency.
